Seymour Kossak
Seymour “Sy” Kossak, 91, of Clifton, formerly of Fair Lawn, died on March 9.
He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, serving in the China Burma India Theater of Operations and attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He was an honors graduate of Long Island University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and completed his four-year course of study in two and a half years. He was an accountant/auditor for the New Jersey State Treasury Department in its Fair Lawn office and a member for more than 50 years of Temple Beth Sholom in Fair Lawn, where he was a treasurer, board member, and volunteer. He was also a member of the James I. Platt Post #651 Jewish War Veterans in Fair Lawn, where he served in its color guard.
Surviving are his wife, Sonia, née Luboff; two daughters, Meryl Graime of Wayne and Paula Argenio (and her husband, Andrew) of Cornwall on Hudson, N.Y.; a son, Ivan, of Lincoln Park; four grandchildren, Brian Graime (and his wife, Danielle), Scott Graime (and his wife, Kimberly), Samantha Argenio, and Andrew Ryan Argenio; and two great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Max Graime.

Dr. Alvin Bodenstein
Dr. Alvin Bodenstein of Boynton, Fla., formerly of Tenafly, died on March 20 in West Palm Beach.
Born in Queens, N.Y., he was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran. He had a dental practice in Hasbrouck Heights from 1954 to 2008 and was a past president of Temple Emanu-El of Closter and a board member of the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades, Edgewood Country Club, and Bristol @ Hunters Run.
Surviving are his wife, Adrienne, née Greenberg; a daughter, Marcy Pontell (and her husband, Steven); a son, Lawrence (and his wife, Elizabeth); two sisters; Rita Bodenstein Klauber and Helen Belle (and her husband, Joel); and six grandchildren, Matthew, Gabrielle, and Jaclyn Pontell and Amanda, Adam, and Nathan Bodenstein.

Rebecca Zeiler, daughter of Debbie and Wayne Zeiler and sister of Gabrielle, 15, became a bat mitzvah on March 13 at the Jewish Community Center of Paramus. Her grandparents are Barbara Simon of Fair Lawn and Arnie Zeiler of Coconut Creek, Fla.
Gabrielle Taubenfeld
Gabrielle Taubenfeld, daughter of Felicia and the late David Taubenfeld of Closter and sister of Gordon, became a bat mitzvah on March 13 at Temple Emanu-El in Closter.
Alana Smolinsky
Alana Smolinsky, daughter of Jigi and Joel Smolinsky of Woodcliff Lake and sister of Shana, 16, became a bat mitzvah on March 6 at Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley in Woodcliff Lake.
Taylor Wallach
Taylor Wallach, daughter of Traci and Ira Wallach of Closter, became a bat mitzvah on March 13 at Temple Beth El of Northern Valley in Closter.
Kenan Sklow
Kenan Sklow, son of Kim and Robert Sklow of Norwood and twin brother of Charlotte, became a bar mitzvah on March 6 at Temple Beth El of Northern Valley in Closter.

Charlotte Sklow, daughter of Kim and Robert Sklow of Norwood and twin sister of Kenan, became a bat mitzvah on March 6 at Temple Beth El of Northern Valley in Closter.
